Source Gazing is discussed in various parts of the Letters from 500 trilogy, mostly within the first and second books I believe.

It needs to be said that the act of observing with the mind should not be underestimated in its power and importance. Animals in nature are constantly observing, they are constantly vigilant, and they are always ready to adapt to changing circumstances. This is of course done using their mental as well as their instinctual faculties.
The Logical Ajna gates (4 & 17) are looking forward and planning, whereas the Abstract Ajna gates (47 & 11) are contemplating their experience and processing. Both are very active in their mode of observation, just in different ways. The Individual Ajna gates (24 & 43) are about watching over the great changeovers from Yin to Yang, and from Yang to Yin. Notice that the 43 is right AFTER the 1, and that the 24 is right BEFORE the 2.
Remember that on the level of Tone, the 3-4 Ajna binary straddles that powerful and mutative dividing line between the Left and the Right. This is what being observant and able to adapt to changing conditions and circumstances is all about. When you follow the dividing line of Tone all the way down to the base, it could be considered as a kind of "Sacral" of its own. This dividing line is all about frequency and vibration, or rather, sounds... just like the Sacral itself. Observing the ever changing and shifting influences within this vibratory field is very important if you want to be able to skillfully adapt to changing environments.
Source can very much be considered as this dividing line. There is a kind of ambivalence as to whether "Source" is masculine or feminine. The Void in Lf500 is obviously feminine, but what is Source? Masculine? I argue that it is both of them in a very dynamic embrace, which of course would correspond directly to the dividing line of Tone and also to Individual Circuitry.
