The saying actually goes "the Devil has work for idle hands." Close enough. It doesn't have to be religious if you don't want it to be.

I would be lying if I said this mix I made below wasn't inspired by an "astral walk" I experienced on mushrooms when I was 16. I heard the most beautiful music, it was enveloping and pouring off of everything, the plants, the ground, the air, the night sky, and much of the music I've made and mixed from that point onward (not all, I get inspired by many things, like childhood dreams) are basically attempts at recreating what I experienced that night in some way.

Technology and the trial & error of technological development is also very much correspondent to Gemini as it is an expression of that grounded mental acuity being expressed through elaborate physical processes that advance over time. Think of the duality of the Hook and Flail again. One cannot make advancements without making mistakes and miscalculations. There will always be set backs on the road, i.e., the Flail part of the equation that eventually adds to the accumulated Wisdom of the Staff or Hook of the shepherd showing the way forward. One can see how adherents of scientism in a sense want all hook and no flail. They are phallus worshipers in that sense. One can also understand the transhumanist obsession with "immortality" in this way. They want all Hook, no Flail. Death is "murder by nature" to their mind, when in reality it is an integral part of the process of growth. Without death, life stagnates, and there may indeed be "advanced" races out there who have taken this path only to deeply regret it later. I can think of no hell worse than being imprisoned by a technological immortality in the way many transhumanists imagine it to be possible and "within our grasp."

Mercury rules Gemini astrologically, and some feel that Mercury Retrograde brings greater risks of accidents and technological breakdowns with computers etc, but can also bring fundamental miscommunications between people. I'll talk more about that and our actual *addiction* to technology (its pros and cons) in the next video.

Devin Townsend's album Addicted! live, just because it kicks ten kinds of ass.. and interestingly Devin wrote this album (and many others) after quitting drugs. He said he used drugs as a crutch for so long that he didn't know if he could even write music without them... Turns out yes he can.

Trent Reznor of NIN has the same basic story, quitting drugs and being really worried if he could write music without them. Yes he can, in fact he's more proficient at it, not to mention the added benefit of being more healthy and not feeling torn to shreds every day.

Far more important than oversimplified and blatant self-recognitions by means of myths is the experiencing of their working intraphysically within our fantasies, and then through them into our ideas, systems of ideas, feeling-values, moralities, and basic styles of consciousness. There they are least apparent, for they characterize the notion of consciousness itself according to archetypal perspectives; it is virtually impossible to see the instrument by which we are seeing. Yet our notion of consciousness may derive from the light and form of Apollo, the will and intention of Hercules, the ordering unity of the senex, the communal flow of Dionysus. When any one of these is assumed by the ego as its identity and declared to be the defining characteristic of consciousness, then the other archetypal styles tend to be called psychopathological. - James Hillman ~ Re-visioning Psychology

Yes, the movie The Edge has the "black guy dies first" cliche. I apologize for that lol.
Damn nature! You scary! The Edge is an alright movie. I just watched it again after having not seen it in ages, and my discussion of it might make it seem more profound than it really is. It's the symbolism that matters though, and it's there if you look for it, much of which might not have been placed purposely either.

This needs to be said. I am not against science or technology. What I'm talking about is the obsession with it. Many people are narrowly fanatical and fundamentalist about science and technology in the same way religious cults like christianity 2,000 years ago had fanatical adherents who were quite belligerent and were taking over Europe by force. It always boils down to the "big daddy" issue of who is winning and who is losing. 2,000 years ago christianity was winning, so narrow minded fanatics leaned in that direction without investigation or questioning church fathers and the foundations of their beliefs. Now science is winning, so these same narrow minded fanatics are leaning in that direction without much investigation or questioning of their "church fathers," i.e., white coats with letters after their name. These are the new "infallible" ones, just as the pope was "infallible." Their word is gospel. All investigations that deviate from THE WORD are heretical and to be burned at the stake, and as long as the one with the shepherd staff who is winning the day is followed no matter what, one feels very secure in their being. And of course if you threaten that security you will be ruthlessly attacked as if you just tried to yank away someone's security blanket in an insane asylum.

Get over the fact that it's Fabio and just listen. He's not the only speaker either. People are battling this scientism problem all over the world. The extreme amount of ego wrapped up in it is literally killing people. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BuNr06BuXkk

The issue has to do with what is "established." Ego is wrapped up in it, prestige, position, seats of power, authority, hierarchy, etc.  (Think inverted/negative Hierophant as opposed to upright and healthy) This is a CURSE within science and progress itself, all while claiming to be the opposite. Look at what "the establishment" did to Dr. Ignaz Semmelweis. He was the one who discovered that since doctors were never washing their hands that they were spreading infections between patients and many people were dying because of it. When he started telling people to wash their hands after autopsies, for example, before going back upstairs to help deliver a baby, and also to sterilize their tools, they SHUNNED him, drummed him out of the medical profession, told him what he was saying was "voodoo," that he was superstitious, made a laughing stock out of him, and he ended up dying in an insane asylum. THIS is what the establishment is good for. They only trust "what is established" and literally nothing else. They hold anything outside of the establishment that isn't "official" in such contempt, and are so suspect of it, that it clouds their ability to even see facts that might contradict their beliefs.

To skeptics I would say this: What do you think about modern science's great advancements in cancer treatment? It's got peer reviewed studies on it up and down, it's "tried and true," it's very much established and part of the establishment. All things you love and trust. I'm talking about chemo of course and how it's based off of mustard gas.... Yes, mustard gas.  Here's an idea. Compare the MSDS (material safety data sheets) of chemo therapy cocktails vs natural cancer treatments that have been proven to work. I guarantee that the chemo cocktails will look like a nightmare compared to everything else. There is a double standard within the skeptics mind that needs to be addressed. If it comes from "authority," it's always good no matter what. If people are independent of the established order who do not have some god-like "pope of medicine" standing over them, waving his magic wand to make everything "acceptable," then it isn't to be trusted. Rather it's to be attacked. They cannot look at the evidence for some reason, and in fact many of them act as if they themselves are on the autistic spectrum in that they cannot read human emotion and resolutely believe that all cancer survivors who used natural means to cure themselves are all liars and actors.
